Ryan Seacrest is a member of that rare breed who know practically at birth how they will interact with the world for pay. Born and raised in the Atlanta area, at a very early age you could find him with a microphone, pretend or actual, in his hand engaging an impromptu audience of his own making. Today, he remains the face most associated with the TV show ‘American Idol.’
Ryan Seacrest started his quest in the entertainment industry through radio. A regional radio personality mentored him on the ins and outs of radio show hosting during his middle and high school years. From there, he embarked on radio and TV hosting of children’s shows. You may recognize some of them: ‘Radical Outdoors- the Challenge,’ ‘Gladiators-2000,’ ‘Wild Animals’ Games,’ and ‘Clikk.’ He also hosted and made appearances on several other programs, some more popular than others. But his big breakthrough occurred in the host face-off for the premier of ‘American Idol.’ Ryan won and remains the globally recognized face of reason and acceptance as each stage act enters…and exits. Viewers have opined that some of the contestants may have fared better had they applied instead for a co-host position with Ryan!
An ‘American Idol’ revival is largely an option because of the consistent presence of Ryan Seacrest (@RyanSeacrest). He currently serves as the executive producer and co-host of ‘Live With Kelly And Ryan,’ replacing Michael Strahan. Another of Ryan’s popular roles was co-hosting the dropping of the Big Apple Ball in Times Square with Dick Clark on New Year’s Eve. He would also occasionally co-host with Larry King, Billie Jean King’s former husband, on Larry’s live TV talk show. Today, Ryan Seacrest stays busy engaging their faithful audience with Kelly Ripa on their live TV morning show, his own Sirius Radio station, ‘On Air With Ryan Seacrest,’ his fashion line, ‘Distinction,’ and his cosmetic line, ‘Polished.’
