Herbalife Nutrition fosters company culture to make a difference

They say cash is the life blood of a business. However, life is about more than just making money and that is even true in business. It is just as important, if not more important, to make a difference for others in need. One company, Herbalife Nutrition, understands this and has ingrained “making a difference” into the company’s business culture.

Missing Types Campaign

For decades Herbalife has been a strong advocate of supporting the American Red Cross efforts of providing lifesaving blood banks to those in need. Herbalife Nutrition, which is known for its nutritional and sports supplements, supported the Missing Types Campaign. This program, initiated by the American Red Cross is aimed at drawing attention to the the most needed blood types. The nutrition company, in June and July 2018, removed the As, Bs and Os from its logo in order to highlight the major blood types of which blood banks commonly experience shortages.

Taking the initiative

On the other hand, this is by no means the only way that Herbalife Nutrition has assisted the American Red Cross with its blood bank efforts. The nutrition company has even hosted and organized its own blood banks at its own company offices, including in its Los Angeles corporate headquarters. It has also held blood banks at its distribution center in California and at two manufacturing and innovation facilities located in North Carolina and California. Herbalife even operates a mobile van which acts as a mobile blood bank throughout Southern California.

Herbalife utilizes network to make a difference

The nutrition company encourages its customers, employees and independent distributors to also donate blood at one of the company’s blood bank centers. However, if they are not close to one of these centers, the company encourages a trip to an American Red Cross blood bank location nearby. This effort can make a significant difference, considering that Herbalife employs over 8,000 workers. The company also has millions of customers and works with millions of independent distributors.

Waiakea Water Is Natural And Real

About Bottled Water

Bottled water is unique by manufacture decisions. Some brands of bottled water are not as pure as you may think. The pH may have been forced by a machine, it is good to make sure your bottled water is really coming from the trusted source as advertised. Waiakea water is a strong brand that guarantees the authenticity of the water source. Our body generally needs a neutral pH of 7.4, however not all bottled water comes at that level. Bottled water can usually range between 4-7 on the pH scale. flavored water can come in even lower at a range of 3-4. With a Waiakea water ph of 8.2, This higher alkaline level is to make sure Waiakea water is out of the acidic range. This Hawaii volcanic water provides more benefits that than the average bottled water gives.

How Was Waiakea Founded?

Ryan Emmons is the founder and CEO of Waiakea. He started the water brand in 2012. Emmons has a deep appreciation for the environment and clean healthy living. He came up with Waiakea when he found a water source near the base of a volcano. He tasted the water and felt it was the best he had ever sampled. He instantly felt there would be a market for it and after college, he pursued the start of Waiakea.

What Is Waiakea?

Waiakea is the first certified CarbonNeutral bottled water in the United States. It is a naturally alkaline water and uses a unique process of filtration. Nature is the filter for this water as it goes through the porous volcanic rock of Mauna Loa volcano. Filtering through volcanic rock allows the water to keep its minerals magnesium and calcium.

Benefits of Drinking Waiakea

Studies of water with the pH of Waiakea show that Waiakea can reduce acid reflux symptoms when used with physical treatment. The water helps neutralize stomach acid with its natural bicarbonate. It has the same main ingredient as heartburn and anatacid medication like Alka-Seltzer. Studies have also shown that water like Waiakea can boost hydration because it has the electrolyte load that the sports energy drinks have.
