Robert Ivy is the American Institute of Architects (AIA) CEO and the winner of the Noel Polk Lifetime Achievement Award. He is the first architect to receive a title from the Mississippi Institute of Arts and Letters (MIAL). Robert Ivy began practicing as the principle of Dean/Dale. He worked at McGraw-Hill’s Architectural Record as the editor-in-chief and vice-president before joining AIA in 2011. He took part in developing most trade papers and respected magazines in the housing sector. Under his leadership, the media firm garnered many awards like the National Magazine Award for General Excellence and became a well know entity worldwide. He led McGraw-Hill’s Architectural Record during its explosive expansion in China and the Middle East.
